Biography

Where it all began

My name is José “Pepe” Torres, born in Jávea, and my journey in combat sports began in Ireland back in 2014. After a short period of training, I started competing at amateur level in K-1 kickboxing, and I managed to build an unbeaten record of four wins and zero losses in those early bouts.

In 2016, I returned home to Spain, joining Climent Club in Alicante to continue developing as a fighter. It was there that I began competing in amateur MMA, along with several BJJ and grappling tournaments, sharpening every part of my game along the way. Those years on the mats and in the cage taught me discipline, patience, and the technical foundation that would carry me forward. By 2019, my team and I felt ready to take the next step: turning professional and testing myself on the international stage.

Since going pro, I’ve built a record that speaks for itself, backed by a management team I trust and a gym that pushed me every step of the way. I still love competing in BJJ and grappling championships, but my biggest goal remains the same: keep adding wins to my professional MMA record until the day I can sign with one of the sport’s major promotions.

Professional Career

In 2019, my team and I made the decision to turn professional in MMA. It was a leap of faith, but one built on years of preparation and trust in the process.

Since debuting on the professional circuit, I’ve built an international record of ten wins against a single loss, currently riding a six-fight winning streak. Along the way I signed with Arsenal Sports Agency, a respected name in the sport, giving my career the structure and support it needed to grow on the world stage.

Two of those wins came with championship gold attached: the RFC title and the LBE title, both earned through the same discipline I built training BJJ and grappling before ever stepping into a professional cage. Every fight has sharpened something different, footwork, patience, timing, and the ability to read an opponent under pressure. My fights have been broadcast on major platforms including UFC Fight Pass, putting my performances in front of fans and scouts well beyond Spain, which has only pushed me to train harder for what comes next.

Every camp, every fight week, and every walk to the cage has taught me something I couldn’t have learned any other way. I’m proud of the record I’ve built, but I don’t see it as finished business. My focus now is simple: keep winning, keep improving, and put myself in position to one day sign with one of MMA’s major promotions.
